X-ring chains beat out plain chains and even sealed chains using O-rings because they have twice as many sealing surfacesthey offer a second chance even if one seal surface fails. These chains come with a rivet-type master link for superior strength. Just cut or break the chain to proper length, rivet the master link, and youre done. Due to the high tensile strength of these chains, we recommended them for use with our Sportster chain drive conversion kits and large displacement motorcycles.
